DENTON MIDDLETON

Each piece of treenware is unique and hand carved using North American hardwood. I prefer to use fruitwood such as cherry, apple, persimmon, dogwood, serviceberry and wild plum.   My favorites include walnut, oak, thorny locust, Carolina buckthorn and maple. All are produced with limb wood which allows the wood to become what it was best suited for by virtue of its contour.

The word "treen" stems from the Old English treow, meaning tree - treowen, made of tree.  Treenware is treasured for the beautiful gain, simplicity and rich patina of wood.
